Cancellation Policy

PICNICS IN THE FOREST CANCELLATION POLICY

Standard Bookings

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before your booking will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations made 2–7 days before your booking will incur an $80 non-refundable cancellation fee. Any remaining balance will be refunded.

• Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking are non-refundable.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of your booking are non-refundable and are not eligible for credit, transfer, or rescheduling.

• Once food preparation has begun or your picnic has been set up, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued, regardless of notice provided.

Holiday & Special Occasion Bookings
(Including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, statutory holidays, and other designated special events.)

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before your booking will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of your booking will incur an $80 non-refundable cancellation fee.

• Cancellations made within 72 hours of your booking are non-refundable.

• No refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduling will be provided within 72 hours of these bookings due to the advance purchase of specialty food, flowers, and décor.

 

Rescheduling

• Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours before your booking will be accommodated once at no charge, subject to availability.

• Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of your booking may be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.

• Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of your booking are not guaranteed and may be declined.

 

Weather Policy

• All picnics proceed rain or shine. Our picnic spaces are covered and designed to accommodate typical Alberta weather conditions.

• We only cancel or reschedule due to severe weather conditions that may impact guest safety, including but not limited to severe thunderstorms, windstorms, snowstorms, wildfire smoke conditions deemed unsafe, or temperatures below -20°C.

• If Picnics in the Forest determines that conditions are unsafe, guests will be offered a rescheduled date at no additional charge.

 

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

• Your booking begins at the scheduled start time, not your arrival time.

• Late arrivals do not qualify for an extension of your booking time or a refund.

• Additional time may be added at a rate of $30 per hour, subject to availability.

• Guests who fail to arrive for their booking without notice will be considered a no-show. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued

 

By purchasing a picnic, you acknowledge and agree to the above policies and terms.
